Maybe when your child reads they omit words? Or they still reverse some letters (up through 2nd grade reversals are typical) and they can’t seem to tell the difference. Or perhaps your child is just learning to read and needs to build those habits of going left to right?

The Sequence Search Activity Sheets is just one way to provide letter, scanning, and visual memory practice while building up the visual motor system.

Ages: 4 and up

25 pages and divided into 2 levels. Level 1 is easier and has shapes before letters. Level 2 is more complex and for kids 8 and older.

Grab this activity if you want your child to build…

  • Scanning skills: They have to find the letter for shape combination in a cluster of letters and shapes
  • Visual Discrimination: The skill of telling the difference between various letters. Like V and W and R and B and knowing if a letter is reversed or not
  • Visual Memory: Hold the sequence they are looking for in their head as they scan to find it
  • Form Constancy: The skill of knowing letters in upper- and lower-case form and when a letter is turned upside down or sideways
  • Eye hand coordination. Is the ability to isolate the letter for circling/marking their choice
  • Fine motor skills. This happens when they circle, cross out, or mark the letter

This is a digital download that can be printed and used as many times as needed. This activity will help your child develop eye tracking, visual discrimination, form constancy, eye hand coordination, fine motor skills, and visual memory skills.
